Artificial creativity: Paradigm shift?

As AI infiltrates the world, design, as a discipline stands at the threshold of yet another paradigm shift. And so, designers are exploring, through ideation multiple directions seeking visions of design which bridge analogue and digital forms and expressions while considering AI's societal impact. In the creative process, however, AI becomes artificial creativity which simulates human creativity although lacking several characteristics of it.* In this approach, the design studio is no longer a room, a confined physical space of drawings and models, but a laboratory model where quantitative and qualitative research methods blend data (structured and unstructured) and culture (man-made and bio), matter (organic and inorganic) and metabolism, machines and landscapes (technology and nature) facilitating innovative ways of thinking and making. *AI does not use the same process as a human does when that human is thinking creatively. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2713374523000225
